The kindergarten was started by a lady called Susan Wanjiru who had a passion for helping homeless children.
So initially she used to take homeless kids roaming in the streets and in her village and she would accommodate them in her house. As time went by she was able to get well-wishers who gave her some financial support and she was able to build the kindergarten and a few dormitories where the kids sleep. The kindergarten not only accommodates the homeless kids, it also opened its doors to other kids in the village who are poor but have parents and have a home to go to after school. The kindergarten has 25 kids and seven among them are the ones who are homeless and live in the hope and home dormitories. These seven children can be linked with the kindergarten HFN found for support.. These children would be happy to get school books, uniforms, shoes.. etc.
