We are experiencing long rains so people are busy planting maize and potatoes and also we have general elections in August so others are busy doing their campaigns.

Wandia’s business of selling eggs
Then later (09.03.2017) i went to Nyeri to check on the chicken project and it is really doing great. Wandia is now in the business of selling eggs. She sells a tray at 450ksh. She saves that money and when its enough she buys food for the chicken and she also uses it to take care of their other needs in the house.

Karatina kids – shopping day
The Karatina kids who are in boarding are on midterm so yesterday (09.03.2017) i went to Karatina, picked them up from the children’s home then we went to town to buy some school shopping and a few books they needed for their studies. Their midterm ended yesterday so they were going back to school today.

12.02.2017: The second sustainability project is done. I gave Catherine the money then she had to get the clothes from Nairobi, they are usually sold in bale that’s like in wholesale form then Catherine will sell them in retail at a higher price thus making profit.

Fruits for the kids
On Saturday (04.02.2017) there was supposed to be a school meeting for the three Karatina kids who are in boarding school but the meeting was rescheduled to another day, so i have to wait till they go for their mid term so that i can buy them some school shopping and story books.
