Mary Wairimu is an elderly lady and a guardian of eight children. She had three children but two have already passed away leaving behind five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Esther Nanyiro was born blind and due to her condition, men took advantage of her and now she has four children through rape. Her children are: Paul Nang’ore who is 10 years, Samuel Ning’iru who is 9 years old, Agnes Lokote who is 8 years old and John Chegem who is 2 years old. Esther migrated from Turkana and now she is living in Nyeri a place called Chaka.

Maryann is a 40 year old lady and a single mother of a 14 year old boy. She is HIV positive and is disabled. She uses a wheelchair for her mobility. It’s difficult for her to get a job since nobody wants to employ her because of her disability. She depends on Hilfe Fuer Nyeri and other well-wishers for the feeding and school funding of her son.
